Giving Back Food Pantry

Giving Back is our free food program which provides a drive-through pantry on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month, and hosts CT Foodshare’s mobile truck every other Tuesday. Tuesdays are primarily fresh produce and can include breads and other perishables. Saturdays are a variety of groceries. 

2nd and 4th Saturday each month 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.:    

     Drive-Thru distribution of shelf-stable food, such as pasta, rice, sauce, tuna, chicken, juices, and miscellaneous other items as available.

Every other Tuesday  9:00 a.m to 9:45

     CT Foodshare mobile truck. 

           Offers variety of fruits, vegetables, bread, bakery, and miscellaneous items as available.

     Recipients should drive up the Tabernacle driveway off Spring Street to the top, and they will be guided into parking until the truck arrives at 9:00 a.m.

      Bring bags. When the truck arrives, recipients will walk around the truck to choose which food they want.

Each week you are allowed to go to as many mobile trucks in as many towns as you’d like.

Do I Need to Bring Any Form of ID?

Please bring a driver’s license or other form of identification to show Connecticut residency for the Saturday Program. No form of ID is necessary for Tuesday’s Mobile Food Truck.

Giving Back Food Pantry has operated without interruption since 2007 to provide food to those who are food insecure in 30 surrounding communities. We are very fortunate to have received grants that enabled us to provide more than 174 tons of nutritious free food in 2022. We want to extend heartfelt thanks to the following recent contributors:
